8 years ago my good friend @Cory Richards made the first winter ascent of #Gasherbrum II, one of the 8,000 meter peaks and 13th tallest on the planet. It was an incredible alpine achievement in climbing history. On the descent he and his climbing partners were caught in an avalanche, miraculously surviving. He had the presence of mind to roll video and take this selfie moments after, not realizing at the time the ripple effect it would have, eventually landing on the cover of @ナショナルジオグラフィック. Cory is presently training for his next big objective, one I’m admittedly a little nervous about but I have faith in his instincts and talent. Congratulations all those years later my friend, love ya brother.
