The Sapporo Snow Festival(#さっぽろ雪まつり) is held annually in early February in #Sapporo(#札幌), #Hokkaido(#北海道)❄️✨✨

It began in 1950 to help liven up Sapporo after the war.
There are three venues of the festival: #OdoriPark(#大通公園), #Susukino(#すすきの) and #Tsudome(#つどーむ). Odori Park is the festival’s main venue. This is where the famous snow sculpture competition is held.

Make sure to dress warmly in layers, since winters in Sapporo can get as cold as -10 degrees Celsius.
