#GoPro Featured Videographer + #GoProMillionDollarChallenge recipient, @austinkeen47. ? • Clip 1: When I decided that I wanted to capture a clip for the #GoProMillionDollarChallenge, I booked a trip to one of the most beautiful locations I’ve ever been - the #TurksandCaicos. I planned to meet up with @waketowaketc to capture a couple of innovative #wakesurfing ideas, but I also knew that there was a chance of surfing with the wild and friendly @Jojothedolphin. Within the first hour on the boat, we spotted JoJo and made a wave in hopes that he’d surf it. JoJo began swimming along the boat and we hopped in to tow on the subwings. Initially, I was using the Bite Mount, but it was tough to turn my head and point the GoPro at Jojo while fighting the current. Thankfully @waketowaketc had a GoPro mounted to the rope of the subwing to capture a selfie-view. After cruising with the Bite Mount, I asked to have a shot at the subwing with the backwards-facing GoPro. One thing about frequently shooting with GoPro is that you become better at visualizing the shot, without needing to exactly see what the GoPro is capturing. After some maneuvering, I was able to position myself close to JoJo. Moments later, he was swimming right behind me and, at that moment, I knew we nailed the shot. • Clip 2: As a world champion in a sport that’s displayed on little to no media outlets, I have to be creative to build an audience and promote what I do. Consistent innovation has been a key role in organically growing my platforms. It turns out, people love skimboarding clips and some of them have even gone viral! • Clip 3: These last two videos are great examples of how amazing #HyperSmooth on #GoProHERO7 Black really is. In this clip, I’m able to capture buttery-smooth video, in choppy water, with less than ideal surfing equipment. In the boat-wake-hijack video, I’m using a Bite Mount during a full-sprint in soft sand. HyperSmooth lets you to capture shots that were impossible to capture before. You get the stabilization of a gimbal, but it allows you to capture shake-free, cinematic shots in conditions with high wind, vibration, water, tight areas, and it keeps the GoPro easily mountable.
