Gasherbrum II Winter Summit Anniversary Continued:
On this day 8 years ago, Denis, Simone and I made our way from Camp 1 to Camp 2 on the first winter ascent of G2. We probably weren’t fully acclimatized at that point, but had been given roughly a 12 hour weather needle that needed to be threaded by February 2nd, forcing our hand and acting as a catalyst in our final bid.
