I’m thrilled to announce that I’m on the advisory board of @plumdates dating app along with my dear friends @byefelipe and @jennabirch as we work to launch a dating app that promotes both accountability and education for safe and healthy online dating. 💜

Recently, my therapist suggested to me that I should be aiming to go on one date per week with a new person if I truly want to make dating and finding ‘the one’ a priority in my life. (🥴)While it’s a fun and exciting concept to get out there and meet new people-the reality is that dating-particularly for women, can be both a dangerous and daunting prospect. Women too often face violent repercussions from men when things don’t work out, and all people who have tried online dating pretty much have stories of feeling misled, disrespected or disappointed by potential dates.

@plumdates is still in it’s Beta phase right now but it features the ability to rate your interactions with the people you match with (just like Uber!) - from the first phase of chatting to post date follow up. The premise of the app is to promote accountability and honest constructive feedback that may help people realize where they might be holding themselves back in their dating game.
