H guys happy Sunday! Every Sunday my social channels are donated to a different student involved in our @yearsofliving #PutAPriceOnIt campaign to talk about carbon pricing. Today's post comes from Robin Chapman, a student at Evergreen State College. Thank you Robin! “Lowering our carbon emissions is one of the biggest issues facing my generation. Living next to the Puget Sound in King County and now Olympia has given me a front row seat to seeing how water rises threaten native species and balanced ecosystems. I had the opportunity to see resident orcas last summer in the wild, but I don’t know if other teenagers will have that opportunity in 100 years. At this point I can’t help but see the world through the eyes of a rockfish and sea cucumber, because I spent my time with them every week volunteering at the Seattle Aquarium. To protect the nature we all enjoy we must #PutAPriceOnIt.

Breathing clean air is something everyone on this earth needs to live. I have allergies and my mom has asthma. So I understand a lot of the struggles that come with excess carbon emissions, but I still feel so lucky to be alive at this point in time and to live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. I hope that future generations can continue to live and play in the great outdoors.”
