❤️?✂️...I was so happy after my last post where I discovered that LOADS of you out there are lapsed sewers like me!! Inspired by all of your comments, I dug out some fabric this morning as I couldn’t get the idea out of my head that I wanted a skirt to go with the turquoise top I had thrifted last week. I got up early, sharpened the scissors, plugged in the sewing machine and quickly discovered how out of practice I was! However, I somehow managed to cobble together this skirt ( albeit un-hemmed ), with a matching collar which I’ll be able to wear on other things too. I worked with an iron rather than any pins and just sort of made it up as I went along...it’s very rough and basic and may even become a different dress at some point, but today I’m just happy I had a bit of a go at it again after so long!??
