About the project - ‘Young but unlike others. Practicing a dance that originated hundreds of years ago: ballet. They’re bodies carry a cultural legacy that obliges them to work hard, but also defies them. They’re the ones that keep it alive, it’s their responsibility to make it evolve. 'Royal Bodies' is a project that seeks to portray this generation of dancers, particularly focusing on the tradition that they must maintain in today’s modern world, as well as in them as young creatives, putting their bodies to the service of this form. This time, the photographed were members of the Royal Danish Ballet, the third oldest Ballet company in the world - founded in Copenhagen on 1748.  Emilie Palsgaard-Jensen,  Tobias Praetorius and  Emma Riis-Kofoed are a part of the Company’s Corps de Ballet. Through their portraits, filled with defying poses and ironies, 'Royal Bodies' wants to appraise this group of creatives that are today’s motor for an ancient art that projects itself towards the future.’ Original text by @federicoferrarisanchez - translation by #ClaraCohen
