RIP Jonas Mekas. As a child my mother would go to his loft in NYC where he would screen prints of rare and unusual films on an old projector, planting the seeds of a love of cinema that has been passed down through my family. one of the heroes and champions of art and film in america and shaping the culture of film that I grew up with. thank you!
