The Duchess of Cornwall today visited Stepney Jewish Community Centre in East London and met members, staff and volunteers.

During the visit, HRH met 101 year-old Beattie Orwell (right). Mrs Orwell is the oldest member of the centre and has worked for many years to improve her local area.

The Duchess joined members for high tea and learned about how the community group helps its members to remain connected - the centre is celebrating its 80th anniversary, having originally opened in 1938 by Queen Mary.
