As I've developed as a photographer (i.e. gotten older), I've grown to love the more nuanced details of creating a fashion image — dynamic lighting, an expressive model, background storytelling, along with creative lensing and framing. This image from a recent motorcycle shoot in urban Denver is one of my favorites for its combination of these fleeting elements.
I positioned our motorcycle talent backlit in midday sun to add dynamic light and shadow to the scene. We also used a backlit strobe pointed directly into the lens to create a hazy flare and overall softness to the scene. Details: I use the Canon EOS R and RF 50mm F1.2 lens with the Elinchrom ELB 1200 strobe, shooting at 1/1000th second at f/1.8 at ISO 100." Camera: #Canon EOS R
