1️⃣ Assess the hair with your client to determine what type of cut they desire and what will best suit them.
2️⃣ Begin by creating a guideline around the entire head. I call this the “owl” (origin weight line) as it is where the fade originates from.
3️⃣ Focus on the specific area of the hair to be faded as this is the part of the haircut that will require most technique. Begin your blend with whichever method works best for you. Any hair remaining below will be cut away with a few quick swipes.
4️⃣ Once blend is complete, remove all remaining hair with your clipper or trimmer. For a true 0 bald fade, finish the remaining area with a razor shave or foil shaver, whichever you choose if you choose to do so. Use your choice aftershave products, disinfectants and you are done?
One other pivotal reason I make a strong guideline around the entire perimeter is because I want my blend to be symmetrical and consistent and the best way to do that is have a consistent guide around the entire head ?
