’City Year New York’ has 246 AmeriCorps members serving as “near-peer mentors” in 22 elementary and middle #schools in #NewYork. The Corp members work with students in high-need schools, giving them tools they need to stay in school and graduate on time. Students in these schools know they can turn to these Corp Members, who are recognized by their red ‘City Year’ jackets.
