Morning Reflections: Proverbs 3:7 Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. I remember my father telling me this when I was in my early 20’s. Lately I’ve been sitting at the table with people of different walks and ages. I’ve learned everyday that there’s more knowledge out there to grasp. Living in a world of where the millennial is a fast learner and where technology is one our teachers, we could possibly seem to have more information than the baby boomers or even generation X. And considering the generation of my Neice and nephew...boy o boy, how much will they actually know and think they know?! When I was younger, I’ve talked fast and begin to disregard wisdom, answers, solutions by attempting to know it all. I thought to have all the answers was the way to go. I’ve often mistaken their silence for ignorance. When it might’ve been them waiting on the appropriate time to share the lesson needed or giving me the space to be “young”. While having a moment of silence at the table with a director and acting coach, I learned that “I just don’t know it all”. And this is perfectly fine. If I had all of the answers, I wouldn’t need God or have the chance to see the beauty in life of conversations with other people that awakens the mind or prepares me for my future. Today I pray that the Lord trusts me with relationships that have a wealth of knowledge and wisdom. That he grants me the opportunity to avoid heartache and lessons that I can simply learn by listening. I pray that He continues to develop me into a good listener and doer. I understand that wisdom is better than knowledge. Knowledge tells you how to do it, but wisdom can tell you how and when to do it. Sometimes the “I don’t know” keeps you out of mess, trouble, and like a magnet for trusted teachers/counsel/advisors. My future is bright and it’ll need lessons from today and ancient wisdom. #kierrasdevotion Proverbs 11:14 Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety

Morning Reflections:
Proverbs 3:7
Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil.
