Well,
after 13 years,
here it is.
My new headshot.

Sounds crazy but I actually HATE taking headshot photos.
Why you ask?

Because, they are not me as a character, in wardrobe, part of a show for publicity.

It’s just me.
Not the Instagram insanity & fun.
But just me.

In all my vulnerability and flaws, as ME. For the world to see.
Totally scrutinized by me (and others of course) to find the “perfect” image.

And after 13 years,
I realize,
I am SO far from perfect.
The older I get, the more I realize HOW MUCH I do not know.
But, I guess that’s the gift. If I allow it to be one.

To learn how to keep learning.
To take the struggles AND the wonderful opportunities that life has given me and LEARN from them. Learn so I don’t repeat past behaviors that no longer serve me. To work on my weakness & find my strengths.
To try to evolve as best as I can.

To wake up every day and make the best of it.
No matter what comes.

Hopefully, I will learn enough this lifetime to pass all that knowledge onto my daughter, so she can ultimately have a better beginning than I did.
Then if she chooses, she can improve on those lessons, and keep improving herself.

Ultimately my hope is she will do the same for her children. And so on it goes....
Pay it forward I say.
