I recently read somewhere that being happy is merely a decision we make for ourselves every day. It is not contingent upon our surroundings... rather it is a separate, internal choice that we get to make. This caption has nothing to do with this picture except for the fact that today I’m deciding to be peaceful, happy, & content. Going to try and be mindful of this every day in 2019- and hope y’all will too! PS- after reading through the comments and messages I got in response to this post I would like to add a caveat- I wasn’t referring to people struggling with depression or mental illness. Obviously it isn’t as simple as a choice for everyone. Sending love and peace to anyone who is struggling.
