How’s your citrus month going?! Besides juicing it, using it for dressing and sauces, and eating an entire bag of clementines in one sitting…there are so many other ways to use it! Here’s three of my favorites! ?
1. Take your leftover citrus peels (Navel, Sumo, and Cara Caras work great here) and simmer them with some cinnamon sticks to make your whole kitchen and house smell cozy and fresh. Hot tip: this is a great way to cover up any pet odors when having guests over. ?
2. Dry slices of lemons and oranges to make pretty cake/cupcake decorations or string them together to make fun citrus garland for party decor. ?
3. Squeeze fresh lemon juice down your disposal to freshen it up and fight any sink stink aka sank stank. Plumbers advise not putting the whole peel down the disposal because overtime it can clog the drain…but in case of extreme sink stink emergencies, you do you. ?
