As much as I love to explore new destinations, I love coming back to the places that truly steal my heart. Sam and I fell in love with Lyon when we first had the chance to visit a few years ago. Lyon has a stillness that stands in direct contrast to Paris. The city allows you to catch your breath while remaining as dazzling and mysterious as Paris. Regardless of the city we’re exploring Sam and I have a small tradition of settling down for a picnic to slow down and soak in our surroundings. In the midst of the chaos of travel it brings a sense of familiarity and calm to the trip.
