What an incredible year for Bayou. I must say, building a company from the ground up isn’t easy. There is no time to “turn it off” when everything that comes is a direct result of the energy you put in. Late nights and early mornings and working through every weekend with just enough time to look up and think “where’d it go?” Pushing yourself beyond what you knew you could creatively while also learning how to run a company on top of being a new Mama has its challenges. Instagram is deceiving because those moments, the ones where you are feeling pushed to tears with deadlines needing to be met, shooting and unloading product, writing web copy, running two hours each way to and from the factory and if need be driving your own products to FedEx to make sure the surprise arrives on time for a thoughtful husband who just wants his wife to get the ring of her dreams isn’t always on the gram. But it’s all part of the story. Thank you guys for supporting us, and thank you for making a conscious choice to support a female founded company that strives to encourage a more thoughtful approach to the way we consume. We have an incredible team of ladies around @bayouwithlove that put just as much energy as I do into growing our company, and I’m continually inspired by all of you. I’m so proud of what we’re building and so honored that so many of you wear what we create. I truly believe that the stories and the history behind what we choose to put on our body is just as powerful as the piece itself.
