part of why i wanted to act and direct on @unspeakabletv is that the AIDS crisis hit me hard. i lost a dear family friend - one of a couple who had taught me what love is - and watching him die was as awful as watching our culture not care... because he was gay. remembering our past can teach us to do better in the present. #unspeakable premieres january 9 on @cbc
