That means developing meaningful friendships, practicing harder, calling my family more, spending more positive energy on the people I love. I want to give the "best of me" and not the "rest of me" to the people I love. ? ———————————————————————— One of the most frequent questions you guys message/ask me is "how do I keep the balance between school, practice, and social life?", and honestly you guys - I'm trying to figure that out myself. Moving to New York has confused and distracted me from my inner "zen" in many ways ? ———————————————————————— So far, I at least think that this is roughly how it works: - I should have enough socials to keep myself sane with awesome memories and properly be there for my closest friends ? - Of course go to school but REALLY take my mind off of school when I am done with school work! Not to worry about it when I've already done all that I can do ? - Build my day around practice. Use the reward-system on myself (For example, I can watch 1 episode of this Netflix series after I'm done practicing this concerto). ?☝? - Bonus - go outside and walk it out. Get some air. Do a bit of a sportive activity. A small amount of movement can help wonders for your happiness. ? ———————————————————————— Try not to just put wild new years resolutions out there. I encourage you to analyze what bothered you regularly last year and try to find out a system to make this coming year more fulfilling & healthier for yourself.
