Dear silly season, it’s been really fun, but it's time for a rest now ? @studiodebrey spotted this #echidna on @tasmania’s @brunyislandau, an island reserve off the coast of @hobartandbeyond and total #wildlife haven! This little fella here is a #TasmanianEchidna; they have longer and thicker hair than the mainland variety, which sometimes gets flowers, grass and all sorts of things stuck in it, creating the somewhat rugged look you see here. Book a @brunyislandsafaris guided tour and keep your eyes peeled for one of these cute critters along the way.
