Dear 2018-
We made it! My kids are all in college. My youngest Teddy is a Freshman, and I’m officially an empty nester. With more time on my hands, I am able to work differently- smarter. When my kids were home, I’d work as fast as I could so I could be a full time working/ stay at home mom. It was complicated, but the effort was worth it. Now, with more free time on my hands, I’ve been focused on being my own architect and structuring a life plan- not just living to work. First stop, was my social media. I started by amping up my real estate video content, and YouTube content because you wanted more from me, so I gave it to you. I feel so humbled by the incredible people I work with. Most people celebrate how great they are, and I’ve always celebrated others around me. I love learning from my friends, and making mistakes in front of them. One BIG lesson I’ve learned this year is to learn to trust. Trust is huge, guys! I’ve been able to pivot and redirect my interests and maximize on them. This is because I am working with people I trust. Like instagram for example. You guys are always asking me what I’m wearing, so I created collaborations with Pologeorgis, RachelMiriam, Soulgani, Kaval, and wear and support my great friend like Quoody, Melissa Odabash, and Elizabeth Hurley- all people I trust. I love showing you guys what I love, and it’s even more important to me when you tell me what you love. It’s a learning curve and we are in this together. You guys put me here, and I’m grateful for everything you have done for me. My simple thoughts:
1. Keep your circle of friends tight/ and let go of people who detract from being the best version of YOU
2. You can reinvent yourself if you make a plan and stick to it
3. Don’t fake it till you make it, be open and transparent about who you are and what you want from your life
4. Work on being YOU. Don’t fight for closure, don’t try to make someone understand where you are coming from. Its ok to let go and pivot your energy into something else. You won’t ever know unless you try.
5. Behind every successful person there are a lot of unsuccessful years. Keep on your track.
6. Be your own architect.
