Reflecting on another year gone by. Personally I can’t wait for this year to tick over and only a few hours to go. It’s been another great but tough year following on from 2017, of course I wouldn’t change anything and have had some great highs, achievements and positive memories created this year, such as the commonwealth games success retaining my two titles and being the NZ flagbearer/team captain, moving to England for a few months to train and challenge myself mentally, having a successful pan pacs and spending quality time with loved ones. There has also been some really hard challenging times and of course some seriously low moments this year. I can personally admit I am only really just coming out of a challenging low time of 2018. However, one thing I’m really grateful for, is how many people love and care for me, and I have really seen those people shine over these past couple of years! These people are the people who bring me postivity but can also challenge me when needed. I have also learnt so much this year especially of what I am able to give and appreciate in life. Right now I’m learning to appreciate myself, That I’m aware of my surroundings, that I’m capable of achieving my goals and that it’s ok to feel what I’m feeling in the moment, even though some of those may hurt at times. These emotions and learnings are all part of my journey and growth. This has been tough for me to realise, but to give back to yourself and others you must appreciate yourself and your worth first. So here’s to 2019 I can’t wait to see you, I’m ready! ? #toanewyear #selfconfidence #bringiton
