I avoid making posts this personal but I’d like to celebrate a monumental moment with a special person. This is my grandfather. He just turned 100 years old. It’s baffling to think about all of the things he’s seen and experienced in his lifetime. How many people have come and gone, the evolution of technologies, war, social topics, economics... the love he shared with his wife, the lessons he passed down to his kids, grandkids, and so on. This is a man who’s legacy is of kindness, openness, friendliness, and no ill -will. I’m not big on New Years posts of trendy ways to be better or reflecting on the past and yada-yada but I’d like to incorporate more of what my grandfather instilled in those of us that have known him. The world needs more people like him and in celebration of his 36,500+ days on earth I’d like to carry on what he’s taught us into 2019 and onward. You’re a legend gramps and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR FRIENDS!!! Let’s make 2019 a compassionate and healthy one.
