And sometimes the creative surge (and urge) FLOW through your mind at such an intense gushing that it opens up these areas where there is an unspeakable emotion. It is a connection that can only be connected by MUSIC. And so we ( as the Flaming Lips) have been very very very very lucky to , once and awhile, when this “creative surge” has allowed us to float into these sacred waters of our minds ( which all humans have but are very hard to acces) , we have been able to grab and connect some of these glistening intangible beautiful moments... it is our greatest honor to be the living, breathing ,smiling, singing and playing humans that get to share these with you ( our fans:: the coolest motherfuckers in the universe) To be there , with them, ( the Flaming Lips listener ) when things fail ..to really stand with them and be a caring presence when life is ugly and painful and unfixable.. That, to me, would be the truest purpose of Flaming Lips music ..
