Our Galettes des Rois (or “King’s Cake) are here, by the slice and as whole cakes, in NYC (#Soho and @dominiqueanselkitchen), @DominiqueAnselLondon, and @DominiqueAnselLA for the very first time. ? Traditionally eaten to celebrate Epiphany, the day the 3 kings visited baby Jesus on January 6th, the Galette is made with creamy almond frangipane inside a flaky puff pastry crust, hand-scored on top to resemble a crown, and baked until golden. (A little secret: as our team to warm up your slice, it tastes even better that way!) Each whole galette comes with a golden paper crown and a small fève (a little ceramic prize) to hide inside.
