Saved a little bee from the water today. I placed her down on a leaf and after a few minutes checked over at the leaf and saw she was gone! Excitedly, I went over to the leaf to make sure and quickly had to save her again after I noticed she was getting eaten by a colony of ants because she hadn’t regained her strength yet when they encountered her. She was fighting though, and I picked her up with the back of my incense stick. After scraping off a few stray ants, I placed her at another side of the yard and left her in peace. I’m not sure why I felt I needed to help her, but when I saw her fly away a few minutes later something about assisting her tiny struggle inspired me greatly and reminded me of how I’ve been feeling these past couple months struggling to understand and overcome obstacles. All I needed was a little help, and because I was gifted with it, I guess I involuntarily needed to pass it forward. And then I drew her✨ I’m really enjoying my new little water color pens? I haven’t done this in such a long time and never really worked heavily with watercolor before but I challenged myself to do a doodle a day and it’s quickly turned into about 3 or 4? Anyway! I hope you had an amazing holiday, however you spend it, with your family or friends or chosen family or beautiful self! I’m so grateful for all the love I have in my life and for the ability to create! Thank you for giving that to me, your support is the greatest gift I couldn’t ever have imagined. All of this year I have spent my time cultivating and running away from and then nurturing and then scolding and then regaining balance with myself. I can’t wait to tackle all of the goals I have planned for this year. I pray I keep focusing on self, focusing on focus, focusing on my intuition, focusing on joy, focusing on discipline, and focusing on love for this next trip around the sun.
A lesson to pass on as well before I go: don’t allow yourself to get caught up in thinking you are alone. There is always someone waiting to help dust you off and remind you of just how beautiful you are. And if you don’t feel like you’ve found that someone, I’ll be here making songs? I love you!
