Kalash men warm themselves around a fire deep in the mountains of the Hindu Kush in Northern #Pakistan bordering #Afghanistan. The Kalash are a non-muslim tribe who practice an ancient religion. I spent Christmas there in 1981. My translator, Saifullah Khan was the best I’ve ever worked with, full of humor and wit and hospitality, he was an amazing source of information.
