Judiasim is all about tzedakah.
As a Jew, I have no family or religious obligations on Christmas Day, so it’s an excellent occasion to help others, the day most people line up to feel a little bit better about their lives. So #Smokeyhusky and I were so proud to help out today at @themidnightmission - I am in awe of their staff who do this year round. The energy, dedication and commitment to caring for the less fortunate of Los Angeles is a daunting task and they have some really special people there. We only got to be there for the morning. We assisted in getting kids some Christmas toys and then we helped out in the kitchen. So many people were there to help serve and to be served, it was just so nice be a part of. ☝️Even if you have a heart made of garbage and your takeaway is “oh wow, she just wants to show she was doing charity work” ask yourself if that is the worst thing? And isn’t this how we affect change? By seeing others do things? Proud to share my time and these pictures. And proud to have a husband who was happy to do this with me. ? #merrychristmas
