Years ago I was in a 12 step meeting and I heard some old alcoholic say this, ‘do more of what works, do less of what doesn’t’. And the simplicity and wisdom of what he said really struck me. We all know what works for us, and if we’re honest we’ll accept that we also know what doesn’t work for us. So, let your intelligence and your experience and your conscience guide you: do more of what works, do less of what doesn’t.
