INT. FOYER - CHRISTMAS TREE - NIGHT
It is a pleasant and calm evening. A nearly perfect holiday picture. The song Carol of the Bells plays gently and eerily in the background ? Lydia has finished stringing the lights around the tree and has begun to hang the ornaments.
Lydia smiles and sings quietly along with the Christmas music. “?Christmas is here, Bringing good cheer, To young and old, Meek and the bold...?” There’s a strange sound. she stops decorating the tree. “Did I just hear - -“ Her eyes dark around the room while she strains to listen. Silence.
Lydia laughs to herself and goes back to decorating the tree and singing along to the music. “No... I didn’t hear anything. I’m being silly. Everything is fine. ?Merry, Merry, Merry, Merry Christmas.?” Lydia continues to sing and decorate the tree. While hanging her ornaments and watching them twinkle, she doesn’t hear the rustling in the branches nor does she see that there is a large Spider Gremlin lying in wait for a hand to strike.
