Yesterday I was being interviewed, and when the woman I was speaking with asked me what over the course of my adult life has felt the most meaningful, “activism and philanthropy” came out of my mouth before I had a second to consciously consider the question. I immediately thought about opening this school in Guatemala. About fundraising raffles and each of you who has joined those calls with me. Cultivating a practice of giving, and of showing up, makes life exponentially better. So many people I care about have taken this holiday season to donate to charities I care about in my name. So that we can open more schools and help more families after disasters and ... well the list goes on.
