Geology as art, 1. As a climber, rocks have obviously been a huge part of my life. I have spent hours upon hours obsessing over the subtleties in their texture, grain and relief in relationship to how my body can move across them. Now I look at rocks through a lens and see their shapes and lines in a new way. I am reminded over and over again how uniquely beautiful they can be, like this bit of shore in Cape Elizabeth, Maine. To think that nature made this is insane to me. •
