Shoutout to all the single working moms and dads out there making Christmas magic happen all by themselves. It’s 11pm. Thank God for Amazon Prime Now. I overextend myself constantly. Tonight is our “Christmas Eve” bc of traveling and Santa has to show up! Been up at 4:30am almost every day this week working a job I love, and then coming home to a kid I love. It’s not always like this. I’m lucky- this has just been a busy few weeks for me. But i know there are so many of you out there who call this the norm. You are my Heroes. I’m almost in tears from exhaustion as I finish sewing a blanket for my daughter, wrap ALL the presents, eat the cookies, set up the fake snow trail from the chimney and sweep the floors from wrapping scraps. And then I remembered I didn’t buy any stocking stuffers. Cue the waterworks ??‍♀️ But you know what? It’s okay. Nothing is ever perfect. And I’m so grateful to be able to give her anything at all. To have the luxury of celebrating a sparkly homemade Christmas is the gift. So, chin up friends who feel like you’re carrying it all on your own shoulders. It’s all going to work out. Keep going.
