This is my mum, Jane Pentland. She liked Cadbury flakes, coronation street, flower pressing, Victorian jewellery and craft fairs. She was quick witted and enormously kind. She didn’t suffer fools (though she put up with my dad, heh heh) and she had a LOT of friends. I remember her funeral being packed all the way to the back of the church. We lost my beautiful mum on this day, December 20th, in 1992 and there hasn’t been a single day since then that I haven’t thought about how much I love her. I have spent my adult life attempting to be half the woman she was and loving the challenge. Both my daughters are named after her (Darcy Jane and Pearl Jane) and I think she very much lives and loves on. Of all the good eggs there ever were, she was the best, the very very best Good Egg.

I like to think she’s having a jolly old time up in heaven. Today I went to London with Pearl and Liam and we had a jolly old time too, because life is for living, just as Mum would have wanted. ✨❤️✨
