. Eight exciting dates with the American public in just over two weeks, sold out everywhere, demonstrations of affection anywhere, beyond all expectations! This was my sixtieth-birthday tour, a season of life in which Fall should begin to be the travel companion that one becomes accustomed to. Instead, it was a series of exciting evenings, thanks to the energy and the extraordinary positive charge that each audience had set aside for me. I carry in my heart the tens of thousands of nameless friends who wanted to share those moments of celebration with me. I carry in my heart the great friends who came to visit me, like Anna Netrebko and Placido Domingo, who – at the end of the concert in Madison Square Garden, where he sat in the front row – gave us an exciting surprise when he came up onto the podium and directed Verdi’s “Brindisi”. I am leaving the United States to spend the holidays at home, in the happy certainty that I shall see you soon. The next event is scheduled for Sunday, February 10th, at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York, where I will hold a recital, which will be repeated on Sunday, February 17th also. I know that there are only a very limited number of tickets left, but I would be particularly pleased to know that I will be able to find some of the spectators who have applauded me recently at the New York Opera House also, where I will perform as part of a concert program entitled “Three centuries love”. Love, the thing that makes the world go round and guest of honor in each of our homes, even more so soon, on the day of Holy Christmas. . - Andrea Bocelli
