In my walk today. Whenever I see wild turkeys, I remember that moment, almost 30 years ago, when I released a group of birds of this species here, the Sierra Madre near Monterrey, where they had disappeared decades ago. This project was carried out with the support of the Planetario Alfa, where we were breeding the wild line in their aviary, with this objective. Listening to the males singing in the distance in spring, is priceless. / En mi caminata de hoy. Siempre que veo Guajolotes silvestres, recuerdo aquel momento hace casi 30 años en que liberé un grupo de aves de esta especie en este lugar, la Sierra Madre cercana a Monterrey, en donde habían desaparecido décadas atrás. Este proyecto lo realicé con el apoyo del Planetario Alfa, en cuyo aviario estuvimos reproduciendo la línea silvestre con este objetivo.
