What is @dressember? How does dressing up help survivors of sex trafficking?
Do you often dress up more than one day in a row? Not just looking nice but ✨fancy✨ If you do something out of character some people might be inclined to ask why. To which you can reply “let me tell you about Dressember...” This begins a conversation that can lead towards actual help for people who are directly effected by sex trafficking and slavery.
Do you want to help more directly? The dress I’m wearing (not the jacket) was handmade by a survivor of #humantrafficking in #Nepal. Following aftercare and skills training, these women are given dignified jobs at @elegantees sewing center where they earn 2-3 times the minimum wage in Nepal.
