Things I’ve learned this year so far:
• People will only call you crazy when you get a little too close to figuring out their bullshit.
• Unlearning and healing from abuse includes unlearning the survival tactics you used to get through it. They won’t serve you in healthy relationships.
• Your gut feeling is almost ALWAYS right. Trust it. Live by it.
• Learning to see your inherent value outside of what you can do to “save” others is one the most valuable and intimate things you can do for yourself.
• Get comfortable being alone (not lonely). The more comfortable you are with yourself, the wiser you are about choosing who gets to be a part of your life. Unless somebody’s presence supplements your solitude in a positive way, you don’t need them.
