Since people always message me asking for NYC holiday recommendations off the beaten path, I’m going to do you all a favor and spoil my secret spot. If you want to go somewhere for cocktails (no kids!), I highly recommend the garden at the Standard Hotel on the Bowery. It’s behind a fence and a brick wall so you’d never know it was there if you were just walking by. They’ve got these little yurts set up with heaters and vintage fur coats that you can wear to keep warm. I took this pic in the fall but I bet it’s all strung up with holiday lights now. This is actually where we had the Mommy Shorts holiday party last year! We are only a three person team so we don’t need a room.
