Inspired by @cern's Large Hadron Collider, these ‘Magnetic Motion’ shoes were ‘grown’ with a metalized liquid rubber that is pulled into its shape with magnets, in collaboration with artist @jolanvanderwiel. As nature decides, each shoe is different. See a video detail of the exceptional magnetic process in the second image.

The Magnetic Motion shoes and four Iris van Herpen Couture dresses are now on display at the ‘Entangle / Physics and the Artistic Imagination’ exhibition at @bildmuseet in Umeå, Sweden.
