PLEASE SIGN THE PETITION IN MY BIO. Jacob Anderson forcibly raped a 19 year old girl (who was a virgin at the time) after spiking her drink, he violently choked and assaulted her to the point of unconsciousness and left her to die. Police found her covered in her own vomit, laying down in the yard.
If you believe this disgusting crime is deserving of anything less then the longest and harshest legal punishment possible, you can unfollow me.
This was not a case that was blurry. This was not a case lacking evidence. This was a clearly brutal attack.
I am sick to my very core, angry, shocked and confused that the man responsible for this barbaric act, Jacob Anderson is not in prison. He will not be given any jail time because the judge in this case, Judge Ralph Strother seems to be taking notes from Judge Persky (the judge in the trial of rapist Brock Turner, who gave him a mere 3 months). Now, Strother actually makes Persky seem like a hard ass.
I had hoped and prayed that the national outrage over Brock Turners lenient sentence would prevent more and more of these cases but, unfortunately that’s not what’s happening.
Judge Strother allowed a plea deal for Jacob Anderson that states he only has to attend counseling, pay a 400$ fine and plead guilty NOT to rape, but to unlawful restraint... oh also he doesn’t have to register as a sex offender.
I am so sickened and heartbroken for the survivor. Please sign.
