?Although I lived a very blessed life, I didn’t grow up like the average celebrity kid. You gotta imagine, my family come from the streets, so even when my pops @masterp started making money it wasn’t like a light switch. Your surroundings and friends and family don’t just instantly turn into doctors and millionaires just because YOU are becoming successful. When we moved to Texas, all my elementary schools was in the projects (Whidby, St Mary’s, etc). If I wasn’t in Louisiana, I was in Mo City with my cousins. This court right here is not only where I learned how to ball, but it also taught me how to survive. It wasn’t the safest place but it was our happy place. I carry a certain gratefulness about life, and it’s for a reason. My best friends where kids from these kinds of neighborhoods, kids who didn’t see 18, kids who’s locked up with their parents. I never related to other kids in Hollywood, because I never understood why kids would F*** Up intentionally (or simply not care) just to be cool. I walked a very unique path. I’ve seen the rags and the riches. The highs and the lows. I know what God is capable of! That’s why I’m excited to come back to music.
