Bibijan (in red) was found alone by her foster family, desperately trying to cross a river along with hundreds of other Rohingya refugees fleeing violence in Myanmar. “She is just like my six other children,” says Bibijan’s foster mother, Khurshida. “My son rescued her and she’s been with us ever since. Recently she started addressing me as ‘mother’. I felt very happy. Life in the camp is very tough. We have very limited resources, but I want to make sure Bibijan has a happy time with my other children.” The children attend UNICEF child friendly spaces, supported by the EU, to learn, play and receive emotional support. @unicefbangladesh
