Guys, 
I’d like to tell you about a scam that someone tried to “run” on me recently. 
I received an email from a photographer who wanted to pay me for a photo shoot. Everything was over email. 
He said I’ll send you a check for the shoot and the studio.
I received the check and he sent another email asking me to wire the payment to the studio via Walmart. 
I tried to call but he didn’t pick up. He sent a text saying he was busy. I went to the bank and deposited the check. All seemed ok. I went to Walmart and they told me this was a scam. They have seen dozens of people getting taken. 
Ok, the scam: They send what looks like a good check. The check will bounce but by the time you know it, you’ve wired them money. I was fortunate the good people at Walmart told me. 
If anyone asks you to wire money or send money back after getting a check, you know where to tell them to go. 
Instagram can be fun, informative and a great way to connect with people from all over the world. Most of the time it is. But every so often, some people try and take advantage of good people and that’s wrong. Please help me and let’s help each other. Please pass this along so good people don’t get ripped off.
