It’d be dreadfully remiss to post photos and thoughts from the Coldplay live experience without including the audience. For me, one of the most valuable things about the AHFOD tour was the opportunity to finally get out from under the stage during the shows.⁣
⁣
To actually experience nightly the connection people made to the music was inspiring and powerful - and quite frankly, impossible to ignore. Roaming the inside of the barrier put me eyeball to eyeball with people having an experience they’d not just looked forward to for months or years, but would in many cases carry for the rest of their lives.⁣

En masse, a crowd can rise up in a deafening roar, but just as the ocean is made up from tiny raindrops, each individual brought their own emotional relationship to the songs. Each was having both a hugely communal and a very personal experience. Each resonating with every single thing the music had meant to them up until that moment. That kind of energy multiplied up by fifty thousand tiny lights a night created a crackle that powered the entire show.
