消化するのに少し時間がかかってしまいました。ほぼ毎日在廊し、絵を見に来てくださる人たちと接した経験は貴重でした。

性の区別をすることがいかにナンセンスかを承知のうえで、最も印象に残ったこと。

抽象画を前にして、強い反応を素直に示してくれたのはほとんどが女性でした。
彼女たちは、なぜかやたらと居心地が良いと言ってくれ、時には涙を流していました。
むき出しのわたしの絵が彼女らを無防備にしてしまったのか。共感にも似たものなのか。
日本の女性たちは美しく、しかも強い。
たくさんの感情を抱えていても、それを表に出さない。喚かない。
だからこそ、確認、共有するきっかけを求めているのでしょうか？
なんとも勝手な解釈でしょうか？
とにもかくにも、こちらもなにかが昇華した感あり。
素直に、嬉しかった。

I needed time to digest to post my recaps from the show in Tokyo.
I understand it is absolutely nonsense to distinguish gender, but it was interesting experiences to learn about my works through their distinct reactions.
I received louder feedbacks from women.
Those were simple and straight forward, yet powerful.
They said my works give them some comfort.
Their eyes were in tears sometimes.
My drawings helped to unfold their feelings ?
Evoked some sympathy ? I wonder.

I think Japanese women are beautiful and strong.
They don’t complain. They are not drama queens, at least, most of the time.
They need some place to confirm and release their feelings... ?
May be it’s just my own observation …
But Anyways, their reactions sublimated my abstract drawings.
I was inspired and encouraged.
Soon, the show is off to Kagoshima, volcanic southern island of Kyushu !
