The world’s oldest auction house, Stockholms Auktionsverk, will sell one of the most important and significant Albert Einstein manuscripts in private hands tomorrow. The auction will benefit the Nobel Museum in Stockholm, as the highest bidder will agree to donate the manuscript to the museum – and the manuscript will forever be on public view.

The item in question is the very first published work by Einstein after receiving his Nobel Prize in physics. In the manuscript, Einstein incorporates a variant of his General Theory of Relativity from 1915.
