I recently attended the #vmgmediaawards for @mindcharity where we celebrated the amazing work of people within the media realm for their incredible dedication to raising awareness of Mental Health. Through documentarys, radio, podcasts, journalism and many other ways. Personally, i can't thank these people enough for showing such incredible support. Awareness helps people, like myself, come forward and receive help in times of need. ?
It also became clear that although such incredible and selfless work has been done by these individuals, the system is struggling to help those in need. Due to lack of funding of Mental Health Services.
I do hope that soon everyones hard work pays off even more and people can readily get the help they so badly need and deserve as soon as they speak up. ?
